SCRAPPER'S BIO !!! Steve "Scrapper"
Brown,a student of the late Bill Jennings,(guitarist for Louis Jordan)Celebrates over 45 years in the music business.Steve
brings his brand of boiling Memphis ,Delta Funk,Chicago Shuffle,and Texas Groove,straight to the forefront when playing guitar.His
varied arsenal is drawn from years of Blues, Jazz ,Funk,Rock,and Gospel and is coupled with a smooth baritone voice. Steve
has opened shows for such names as the late Donny Hathaway, Jimmy Smith,and Gary Primich*.Also for Koko Taylor,* Savoy Brown,Lonnie
Mack,Johnny Winter,Artimus Pyle**, The Blues Brothers Band *,Buckwheat Zydeco*,Johnny Rawls*,and Double Trouble * He has appeared
in festivals with Pinetop Perkins and the late James "Yank "Rachell(served as Yank's guitarist on many occasions) note * As leader of the No Regrets Blues Band ** As guitarist for Stone Martin Band.
Scrapper has many festival
aprearances to date including the Indiana State Fair,Indy Jazz Fest,BeanBlossom Blues Fest.Blues at the Crossroads,and ABATE
Boogie. A regular performer at the internationally known Slippery Noodle Inn,has had the legendary Sam Lay perform with No
Regrets and been captured in action by the New York Times. CDs include Stolen Material ,Live from the Slippery Noodle
Vol. II and Workin Man's Blues.Summer 2008 will bring a Yank Rachell tribute CD with Scrapper performing "Depression
Blues" On Saturday afternoons from 12noon to 4pm (est or Naptown time) ,you can catch Scrapper at www.jazz-city.com as the host of (Everything Plus) The Kitchen Sink. An exciting and eclectic mix of Blues,Jazz,Reggae,Classic Old School,Rock,Zydeco,
and everything else commercial radio won't touch !
